ABOUT D4

We use digital tools to make clinical judgment more complete.

Imaging, scans, photographs, and design records are brought into one treatment pathway. They help clinicians see the relationship between structure, function, and aesthetics, and help patients understand their concerns and choices more clearly. D4 does not focus on a single technology, but on how information, communication, design, treatment, and long-term maintenance form a clear clinical plan together.

CLINICAL TEAM

Clinical team

Treatment decisions at D4 do not depend on one viewpoint. Clinicians discuss the information, limitations, patient goals, and long-term maintenance needs together.

Collaboration

D4 case discussions commonly address information gathering, facial analysis, intraoral conditions, design validation, and long-term maintenance. The purpose of collaboration is not to find the fastest answer, but to make the treatment plan more clinically workable.

Teaching & Education

Sharing Digital Dentistry Through Education

Dr. Hsu regularly takes part in clinical education for dental peers, bringing the observation, design, and decision-making behind real cases into live discussion.

The purpose is not to promote a single technique. It is to examine how information is understood, how a plan is validated, and how clinical limitations shape the final choice.

Teaching also keeps D4's own methods open to questions and review, connecting digital workflows back to communication, judgment, and clinically workable plans.

Teaching & Speaking

Continued participation in international education and academic exchange

D4's work extends beyond the clinic.

From case design discussions and digital workflow development to interdisciplinary collaboration and teaching, much of this experience comes from real clinical work and continues to be discussed and examined in public.

DSD Teaching

From International Teaching Back to Clinical Judgment

Dr. Herman Hsu has long participated in Digital Smile Design international teaching, case discussion, and clinical application. At D4, DSD Instructor / DSD KOL / DSD Master-related identity is not about the title itself, but about translating digital smile design, aesthetic restoration, Mockup validation, and pre-treatment planning into clinical judgment within real cases.

The value of international teaching and case discussion is not the lecture itself, but bringing design, communication, and clinical judgment back into real treatment workflows.
